Focus on Training and Safety

Ensuring Air Assurance and their technicians are on the leading edge of heating and air conditioning technology and safety issues within the industry is a priority.

Air Assurance accomplishes this in part by hiring the most talented, dedicated technicians in the industry. But, to maintain that edge, Air Assurance focuses on continued training and education.

Within the organization, Air Assurance has an in-house training coordinator who arranges weekly training classes for all employees and closely tracks participation. Air Assurance also maintains a comprehensive technical training library that is continually updated. The library has computer-based training, videos, DVDs and hard copy materials.

Technicians also have access to online training through Lennox, York, and other trade organzations, such as ACCA.

In addition, Air Assurance often hosts and attends local and national training seminars, such as the Comfort Institute training, National Air Balancing Institute training, Jackie Rainwater Service Agreement training, Pat McCormick's Sales training, Rick Hutcheson Sales training, numerous Indoor Air Quality classes, Tom Piscateli's Sales training, pneumatic training classes, Honeywell Energy Mangement classes, Dale Carnegie classes, Susan Brown's Phone Genie course and many others.

Air Assurance has an in-house Safety Director who makes regular inspections and holds regular safety meetings with all employees. He also meets with management to plan and implement further improvements in the company safety program.

Air Assurance has also been awarded state and federal grants through Workforce Oklahoma from the State of Oklahoma that enabled 33 students to attend Tulsa Technology School to improve their heating and air conditioning technical skills and earning potential. Following graduation, students received their journeyman's licenses and were ready for employment consideration.
